Your stylish, elegant Lower Ground Floor apartment is a very spacious 115 square meters / 1238 square feet in size and was newly refurbished throughout in April 2017 and newly furnished throughout in May 2017.  Your apartment has brand new soft carpeting throughout. The spacious Lounge with its high ceilings has a very large corner sofa, ample for 7 or 8.  The window and doorway lead out to a small private patio.  There is a large 60 inch Smart TV and Freeview channels as well as Free WiFi and Broadband (being installed on 25th May 2017).  There is also a dining table for 6 which can be extended further.  Cadogan Square is quite quiet for central London and the Lower Ground Floor position helps to keep the apartment quieter still.  There is central heating throughout.

The large Master Bedroom has a very comfortable Queen Size Bed, double wardrobe and a window looking out to the entrance staircase.  New curtains maintain privacy throughout the apartment.  A quality floor mattress can be provided for a 7th guest in the Master Bedroom.  The Master Bathroom is just across the hallway and is very large with a bathtub and a large, separate walk in rain shower, ample drawer space as well as WC, wash hand basin and a heated towel rail.

The Second Bedroom also has a Queen Size Double Bed and is at the other end of the long hallway, also looking out onto the private patio.  The Second Bathroom is enusite to the Second Bedroom and also features a large walk in rain shower, WC and wash hand basin as well as a heated towel rail.

The Third Bedroom lies adjacent to the entrance to the Master Bathroom and has a Double bed and a window looking out to the entrance staircase.  Again, new curtains maintain privacy as wella s shutting out the morning light.

The modern kitchen with granite work surfaces includes everything you may need for your stay.  Well equipped with 4-ring electric hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator, kettle and toaster it also has a dishwasher and all the crockery, cutlery, glass, cooking utensils, pans and more that you will need during your stay.  There is a Miele washing machine in a utility cupboard off the hallway close to the kitchen.

The Neighborhood

The immediate area of your apartment has numerous small shops, restaurants and coffee shops.  Pont Street, leading up towards Brompton Road, Knightsbridge has a wide array of restaurants with different cuisines.  A little further, Lowndes Street and William Street, at the top of Lowndes Square, have a number of very good restaurants with various kinds of cuisine and more options still lie in both Knightsbridge itself, just beyond and around King’s Road, Chelsea, in the other direction down Sloane Street.  If you decide to go out to eat, you will find yourself spoilt for choice from the wide range of restaurants very close by, in Pont Street, at the top of Lowndes Square or in Knightsbridge. There are several supermarkets within a few minutes’ walk including a large Waitrose in Motcomb Street and an M&S Food store at the top end of Pont Street on Brompton Road.  Some open from 7.00 a.m. up to midnight.

Do make sure to slip down the side streets around your apartment where you will find the village atmosphere of Knightsbridge and adjoining Belgravia still alive and well.  Cadogan Square, Cadogan Place and Lowndes Square are very large garden squares and you can explore around, finding numerous mews and other features of a time gone by.

Knightsbridge is one of the most exclusive residential areas of central London and it’s really not hard to see why.  Some of the best shops and stores in London are on your doorstep and Knightsbridge is also a very central spot for getting around the rest of this great city.

If you enjoy museums, there are some of London’s best in this area – just a short walk down Brompton Road for the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum.

London is famous for its parks and Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park (essentially one park) are in easy walking distance.

However, Knightsbridge was once just a village outside London and it still retains some of the atmosphere from those earlier days in side streets of mews houses, garden squares and some lovely, very individual shops and restaurants.  They can be a bit pricey but they are a unique experience.

Getting Around

Knightsbridge, Sloane Square and South Kensington stations are all about 7 minutes’ walk from your apartment.

South Kensington station offers the best options with the Piccadilly Line (direct from London Heathrow), Circle and District lines – meaning you can travel usually direct to all of London’s major sights, theatres, shopping and so much more.

Knightsbridge tube (underground/subway) – Piccadilly Line – station is the same distance and has the Piccadilly Line, whilst Sloane Square is the same and has the Circle and District Lines, so wherever you want to start of end your day, you have the perfect place to travel from and to.

Between them, they offer easy direct routes to most of central London.  Several bus routes run up and down Brompton Road.

Knightsbridge underground station 5 minutes’ in the other direction from your apartment and has has the Piccadilly Line for direct to and from London Heathrow Airport as well as direct King’s Cross/St. Pancras for trains to Luton as well as trains to Paris, Brussels and elsewhere.  Liverpool Street for the Stansted Express is just one change.  Sloane Square underground station is 8 minutes’ walk from your apartment and has the Circle and District Lines – so you can take the train here direct to Victoria for the Gatwick Express.  There are direct routes to most of London’s main sights, shopping areas and theatres with many just a few minutes’ away from the station.

On check in, we require the photo ID of the person who paid for the reservation and sight of the card used for the stay.  If this person is not a guest, their photo ID must be e-mailed to us ahead of arrival and the photo ID of the lead guest must also be shown.

Your apartment is in a building shared with other tenants and guests.  Please be very considerate of them.

No pets allowed under any circumstances.

Refuse may not be placed outside the apartment except on collection days by 7 a.m.  Contact our Housekeeper if you need refuse to be removed.
