Antique furniture plays alongside newer pieces, and quite clearly the grand piano is the star. In deference to it, light parquet wood spreads across the whole first floor with a smart black border that recalls staves on manuscript paper. The bright green upholstery of the chairs in the drawing room provides a vibrant splash against elegant cream sofas.
The en-suite master bedroom with its magisterial superking-sized bed in dark wood is found on the first floor, and the twin bedroom’s up here too, full of children’s toys and books and it’s own wash basin. There’s also an enormous playroom on the lower ground floor, complete with a drum kit, a ping pong table and toy cars. From the large, open-plan kitchen, come out and play in the expansive, high walled garden with a generous lawn. A trampoline, a swing and a climbing frame await active souls with extra brio to burn, while the lovely outdoor dining area might be just the tonic for your evening repose.
St. John’s Wood is the land of flourishes, of things of grace and beauty. It is just lovely with its wide tree-lined roads, elegant houses and the breathtaking open spaces of Regent’s Park. It is also home to Lords Cricket Ground, London Zoo and the world-famous Beatles Recording Studio. Shop in style in smart St. John’s Wood High Street, take a leisurely stroll to the local Church Street Antiques Market or while away the afternoon on an original nineteenth century Longboat along the Regent’s Canal. For Central London it’s under 10 minutes to Oxford Circus from nearby St John’s Wood.

This home doesn’t have air conditioning. Between June and September, we’ll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you’d like fans outside the summer period.

When you arrive we secure a £1,000 hold on your credit or debit card. The amount is held by your bank until we confirm that no damage was caused during your stay. We will release the hold within five days after your departure, but it can take your bank longer to process the request from the credit or debit card company. If you do damage anything it’s always best to let us know before you leave. And once you depart, if we find any damage, we’ll get in touch immediately.
