And, when you’re not shopping, bar hopping or dining out at some of London’s finest restaurants, you’ll be snugly ensconced in the most upbeat of homes. Butterflies flutter, tiles gleam jewel-bright, and the furniture is grooviness and elegance combined. So have your best Cheshire cat grin ready – we think you’ll be needing it.
On top of the world
Your hostess is the director of a property company, while her husband is a barrister. When they’re not out and about in Chelsea, they and their three children can be found in their second home in rural Hampshire.
You’ll come first to Cranbourne Court’s sitting room, its three huge windows showering the interiors with light. Take a seat on the squishy couch, or, sit a little straighter on one of the funkily upholstered antique chairs. The sage green wallpaper behind the original fireplace exudes serenity, while the fine Turkish rugs radiate warmth beneath your feet. Wander out on the the little balcony and gaze over to the river, the beautiful Albert Bridge, or just across at Battersea Park. Next door in the kitchen seat four at the dining table and admire your younger hosts’ artwork, while the kitchen has everything you need to create a delicious dinner.
Along the corridor, you’ll find a gorgeously pretty bedroom, with a bunk bed, selection of children’s books and even a flock of butterflies. There’s a further single bedroom with a handy desk, and even a pull out truckle bed, just down the hall from the gleaming family bathroom. And then, the enticingly plush master, with a television for indulgent mornings in bed, and next door, a snazzy ensuite.
Here comes the sun
You’ve a terrific gastropub, the Prince Albert, just two minutes from your front door, or, if you prefer your fare triple Michelin starred, then head over to Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant on nearby Royal Hospital Road. The Kings Road is packed with boutiques, bars, delis and cafes, and for entertainment, you’ve The Royal Court theatre and The Curzon cinema. If you fancy a spot of fresh air, go for a mosey around Chelsea Physic Garden or Battersea Park. Or, head into town- a bus, tube or cab will have you in the West End in less than half an hour.

This home doesn’t have air conditioning. Between June and September, we’ll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you’d like fans outside the summer period.
The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.
When you arrive we secure a £1,000 hold on your credit or debit card. The amount is held by your bank until we confirm that no damage was caused during your stay. We will release the hold within five days after your departure, but it can take your bank longer to process the request from the credit or debit card company. If you do damage anything it’s always best to let us know before you leave. And once you depart, if we find any damage, we’ll get in touch immediately.
