Herbal Hill is a two bedroom two bathroom serviced apartment located just off Clerkenwell Road in London. The building has a spacious lobby with several leather couches and chairs perfect for hosting a small business meeting. There is a doorman reception as well to sign for the Amazon packages. The apartment is on the fourth floor accessible by lift. There is camera entry intercom system for easy guest access.

There is one main hallway inside the flat with three neighbouring rooms – 2 bedrooms and the living room. All have hardwood floors.

The master bedroom of this serviced apartment has a full sized bed with end tables. There is a large window – it actually has a glass door that swings open to let ventilation in. There is no balcony but you can lean out to get a little fresh air. There is a full sized recessed closet in the bedroom.

The master bedroom has en suite bathroom with tub and shower over. Its anything but small, complete with tiled floors.

The second bedroom is only slightly smaller. It still has large window, though no full sized glass door. It does still open for ventilation. The bedroom has a full sized bed with end table and dresser.

Also adjacent from the hallway is the full sized kitchen. There are all matching stainless steel appliances and cabinets. There is plenty of granite counter space for food preparation. The kitchen could easily accommodate two. As for appliances, it has a Siemens oven, 4 burner Gaggenau electric hob, Neff exhaust, Miele washer and dryer combo, and Bosch dishwasher. The kitchen has all black tiled floors.

The living room has a large couch with enough seating for four. There is plenty of light coming from the window that also has the opening glass door good for some fresh air.

The second bathroom in the hallway is just as large with tub and shower, tiled floors and mirror.

The neighbourhood

Herbal Hill is located just between Clerkenwell and Farringdon in the borough of Islington. It was an ancient parish in medieval times. Clerkenwell is named after a well where Parish clerks would hold biblical plays. Most notably, this area was home to London’s Little Italy from approximately 1850 to 1960. The community still exists, though much smaller, and is based around St. Peter’s Italian Church with street fairs taking place in July.

Pure Gym is directly downstairs from the flat offering excellent convenience for a workout. There’s a small corner store across the street that has a few groceries. For everything else you have a short walk.

Nearby establishments include: Ngon Ngon Vietnamese, Korean BBQ Han Jiu, The Hat and Tun PubCraft Beer Co., the tasty street food epicentre on Leather Lane, Singtong Burger, TikkaritoKin Asian Street Food, Trents Coffee, Bamboo Spa and Thai Massage, Tea Bar and Shop London, Manifesto Salon with a rehab style juice bar, Bebox Italian Street Food, Subway, Brother’s Café Deli/Diner, and further off on Clerkernwell Road The Clerk and Well Pub, Kung Food, and Fast Break breakfast café.

For some gastropub fun, try The Eagle, it’s of the originals in this area. It serves up Mediterranean cuisine mostly off the grill. The only way to catch the menu is on the chalkboard as the chef changes it daily. There’s a live feed on their website.

For some more great street food try the Exmouth market, off Farringdon Lane.
