The Princess Diana Memorial Fountain and the rest of Hyde Park are just 3 minutes’ walk from your apartment, straight up Queensway. Enjoy a stroll through the park to the Serpentine where you can go paddle boating or simply enjoy a drink overlooking this beautiful spot.
Trendy Notting Hill is a similar distance with Portobello Market – a great draw for visitors – just 10 minutes’ walk from your apartment. Marble Arch, at the beginning of Oxford Street – central London’s busiest and best-known shopping street – is 15 minutes’ walk or a short ride on the tube from Queensway station, itself just 2 minutes from your apartment. Paddington Station – your arrival point on the Heathrow Express (15 minutes from Heathrow) or from trains from the west of the UK, Oxford and others as well as a major station on the brand-new Elizabeth Line opening late 2018 – is 10 minutes’ walk from your apartment or 1 stop on the Circle and District Lines from Bayswater Station, right across the road. It couldn’t be more convenient!
Your stylish, elegant apartment is 57 square meters / 611 square feet in size and is located on the Second Floor of this building, up 2 flights of stairs from inside the entrance of the property. Your apartment has elegant hardwood flooring throughout. The very spacious living room has a large “L” shaped Double sofa/bed, dining table and chairs for 4, a 48” large Flat Screen TV and Freeview channels as well as Free WiFi and Broadband. Apartment windows are double-glazed so that street noise is barely audible and not at all in the rear facing bedrooms. There is central heating throughout.
The modern kitchen is open plan to the Living Room in galley style and includes everything you need for your stay. Well equipped with 4-ring gas hob, oven, microwave, a large Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and washing machine along with all the crockery, cutlery, glass, cooking utensils, pans and more that you will need during your stay.
From the Living Room walk through to the Master Bedroom at the furthest point, which has a Double bed, bedside tables and lamps and a sizeable wardrobe to serve both bedrooms.
The Second Bedroom is adjacent to the Master Bedroom and also has a Double bed, bedside tables and lamps and chest of drawers for those clothes which do not need to be hung.
The modern Bathroom is off the hallway leading to the bedrooms, so adjacent to both bedrooms and has a good size shower cubicle, wash-hand basin and toilet. An initial supply of toiletries, such as shampoo and shower gel are provided free of charge.
The immediate area of your apartment has numerous small shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Just downstairs beside the entrance to the building is a Tesco Express convenience store. There are several other such stores close by. Queensway and several side streets off it, have a wide range of restaurants covering many different types of cuisine and at different budget levels. The area also has a wide range of shops, particularly within the Whiteley’s shopping centre close to the bottom of Queensway and just 2 minutes’ walk from your apartment.
Do make sure to explore the many side streets around your apartment where you will unexpected garden squares, some of which are open to the public, peaceful corners, a variety of traditional pubs and some rather smart hotels the largest of which is the Royal Lancaster Hotel (previously the Landmark) at Lancaster Gate. You will also see many Georgian terraced houses from a time gone by and an atmosphere which London somehow manages to combine seamlessly with its up to the moment image.

Queensway, and Bayswater generally, is a very lively area of central London well-known to many tourists because of the high number of hotels in the immediate area, as well as in adjoining areas such as Notting Hill and Paddington. Once strong residential areas, many of the period buildings have been converted to small hotels and apartments, whilst many larger hotels have been built in their place. This has the benefit of meaning that the area is well geared up to looking after visitors to London whatever their reason for being here.
Having so many shops, restaurants and coffee shops close by, makes this an appealing location in any event but having Hyde Park and Notting Hill, including Portobello Market, on your doorstep with easy travel from the 2 tubes stations in Queensway to marble Arch and along the full length of Oxford Street makes the area especially appealing.
Bayswater tube station (Circle and District Lines) is literally just across the road from your apartment and provides direct routes to Paddington, Baker Street and much more in one direction and to Notting Hill and High Street Kensington, South Kensington and on to Westminster and Tower Hill in the other direction.
Queensway tube station (Central Line) is 2 minutes’ walk from your apartment at the top of Queensway takes you to Notting Hill in one direction and to Marble Arch and then a number of stops along Oxford Street and through to the City of London (for St. Paul’s Cathedral) in the other.
Paddington Station is 10 minutes’ walk from your apartment (or 1 stop on the tube from Bayswater) for the Heathrow Express, trains to Oxford and the west of England and for the new Elizabeth Line, opening in late 2018, which will also provide direct connection to Heathrow in the west and to stops in Oxford Street and along to Canary Wharf and Stratford in the east.
On check in, we require the photo ID of the person who paid for the reservation and sight of the card used for the stay. If this person is not a guest, their photo ID must be e-mailed to us ahead of arrival and the photo ID of the lead guest must also be shown.
