Head out of the city centre, pick a spot on Hampstead Heath wrapped up warm, and watch the fireworks over the capital. Head to Parliament Hill for the best views and you’ll be sure to find others ringing in the New Year along with you.

13. Watch the fireworks for free

Whilst many central London locations for watching the fireworks are ticketed, try heading to one of the bridges to catch a good look. In previous years, Millennium Bridge, Southwark Bridge, Tower Bridge, Vauxhall Bridge and Lambeth Bridge have all been good places to watch the display. Do get there early and wrap up warm!
