Christmas Comes to London

  Christmas in London is a magical affair with streets wonderfully decorated with Christmas trees and fairy lights, inspiring carol singing in its beautiful churches and cathedrals, special shows and Christmas spirit. Winter Festival at Southbank Centre Christmas shopping The popular Winter Market situated along the River Thames boasts many charming wooden cabins selling everything from affordable Christmas gifts and handmade crafts to mulled wine, mince pie, German sausages and crafted beer. Festive Shows For all rock and roll fans, there is a new musical, Million Dollar Quarte, which features songs from the music idols Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash or Jerry Lee.  To add to your festive feeling, there will be a big top where acrobats from circus company NoFit State will show their amazing performance. Winter Festival at Southbank Centre is opened until January 25^th Nearest Tube station is Waterloo serving Bakerloo, Jubilee and Northern lines. Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park Get into the Christmas spirit by visiting Winter Wonderland, which returns to London for the tenth year with many new seasonal activities along with the old favourites.  This free-to-enter event features the largest open-air ice rink in the UK, big German Christmas market, lots of remarkable shows and stunning views across London from the observation wheel. It runs until January 2^nd. Nearest tube stations are Green Park station serving Jubilee, Piccadilly, Victoria lines and Knightsbridge station serving Piccadilly line. Christmas Festival at Royal Albert Hall With a range of 23 delightful concerts to choose from, including Christmas Carol Singalong, Jingle Bell Christmas, Messiah and Classic carols, the Royal Albert Hall has the perfect settings for your festive delight. It runs until December 23^rd. Nearest Tube station is South Kensington serving District, Circle and Piccadilly lines.
